TECHVINA was established on October 28, 2009, starting out by purchasing and exporting cassia oil, then built its first essential oil factory in Lao Cai in 2011 and its first aroma chemical factory in Hanoi in 2017. In May 2025 it opened a state of the art facility at Yen My II Industrial Zone in Hung Yen Province, where it produces natural aroma chemicals through fractional distillation of cassia oil, including cinnamic aldehyde, benzaldehyde, coumarin, cinnamyl acetate and cinnamyl alcohol, alongside essential oils from cinnamon, star anise, lemongrass, ginger and basil. The company sources cassia from Yen Bai, star anise from Cao Bang and lemongrass from Dak Lak, and describes itself as the world's largest producer of benzaldehyde and cinnamic aldehyde.
