Mu Cang Chai Ecolodge, built between November 2016 and July 2017, consists of seven stilted houses overlooking the terraced rice fields of Mu Cang Chai, a national heritage landscape recognized by Vietnam's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2007. Construction used Thai-style wooden frames and Hmong-style roofing with minimal cement and no single-use plastic, and the lodge runs multi-day tours involving rice planting and harvesting with local Hmong and Thai villagers.
