Mai Chau Ecolodge, founded in 2012, is set on a hillside in Na Chieng village and built using locally sourced bamboo, stone, wood and palm leaf in the architectural style of ethnic Thai stilt houses. The property runs on solar power and biomass energy from rice husks, treats wastewater on site, and employs staff drawn from surrounding Thai ethnic minority villages. It is managed by Emotion Vietnam Group.
