At a glance:
Learn to see the bigger picture: how everything is interconnected, and how to design sustainable solutions using the Symbiosis in Development (SiD) framework.
Course insight:
This masterclass introduces participants to systems thinking as the foundation for effective sustainability work. You will learn how to map complex challenges, identify leverage points, and design integrated solutions that balance social, ecological, and economic aspects. The training is based on Except’s Symbiosis in Development (SiD) framework - a globally applied method that combines scientific rigor with practical tools.
Through case studies, collaborative exercises, and interactive discussions, participants practice how to analyze real-world challenges such as climate change, urban planning, and organizational transitions. The program emphasizes not just theory, but also practical application: how to connect ideas across disciplines, translate systems thinking into actionable strategies, and create solutions that are resilient in the long term.
Key Outcomes:
Participants will be able to apply systems thinking to sustainability challenges, use the SiD framework to map and analyze complex situations, and design integrated solutions.
